PEWDIE PIE BROUGHT ME HERE is a video game that looks like a first person shooter game, but functions more like Second Life or other MMORGP games.

• The goal of the game is to keep your virtual developmental age from falling below your virtual birth age
• markers such as marriage, career, having or adopting children, 401K, home ownership, investments, assets, continual growth in wages, and attire contribute to the calculated developmental age in the game
• the game has a 1 to 24 compressed time. For example if you go to work in the game to earn virtual money, you could spend 20 minutes of real time playing the game which would equate to 8 hrs at work within the game
• when you report to work within the game you sit at a blank computer screen to earn money. When you enter the building for your work, the color saturation of the game is decreased.
• In order to advance in the game, you need to continually earn more money. You accomplish this firstly by showing up to work 9-5 M-F. Secondly you must spend 25% of your income on conservative clothing in order to get a better paying position at work. The better paying position at work functions identically to every work position in the game; you stare at a screen to earn money.
• At work the only thing you can use the computer for is to stare at a blank screen, log onto your Facebook account, check your gmail, or play solitaire, but you risk getting caught by your supervisor and may ultimately be fired for looking at Facebook, checking email, or playing solitaire.
• the game is linked to all of your social media accounts, so when you get onto a computer within the game, it displays your actual facebook account or other content but the screen is more pixelated and the color saturation is increased.
• You can also look at your virtual smartphone within the game to access your Instagram account, Twitter feed, or any other apps that you have on your actual phone. Your virtual phone screen is also pixelated and supersaturated. Your phone service within the game will be turned off if you don’t have enough money in your virtual checking account to pay the recurring phone bills
• Like a first person shooter game, you can scroll between what item is in your hands such as your smart phone, an Ipad, your credit cards, etc. If you earn enough money you can buy more items to choose between such as weapons or fashion accessories.
• You can choose to not go to work and just explore the virtual world but this will impact your DA (developmental age) to BA (birth age) discrepancy.
• One of the most entertaining and visually dynamic places in the game is your mom’s basement. The basement is the most vibrantly colored environment within the game, with every surface shimmering with undulating pearlescent patterns. Magical creatures prance about, shape shifting and creating improvised musical compositions as their form constantly changes, synaesthetically mirroring the erratic and unique sounds that they are creating. There are many virtual instruments in the basement that you can play and you can also create new instruments or combinations of instruments.
• There is a computer in the basement and also a wide variety of video game systems and a large television screen that you can watch Roku, or Apple tv on. You can play emulators of vintage video games on the tv. You can also use some of the musical equipment from the basement in conjunction with the video games. For example you can add an octave pedal, distortion pedal or a wah pedal to the video game console and affect the games soundtrack.
• You can also hook two video game consoles up to the audio mixer and combine games on the TV. For example you could hook up the Atari console with Space Invaders up to channel one on the mixer and the NES with The Legend of Zelda to the second channel and you would be able to play a new game that combined aspects of both of those video games.
• You can play a game cartridge of PEWDIE PIE BROUGHT ME HERE within the game which essentially restarts the game within a smaller window (the virtual computer screen) but the graphics are more pixelated and saturated. If you go below 2 sub levels of playing PDPBMH within PDPBMH your game shuts off and the front facing camera shows a live feed of you in real time, but it is more pixelated and saturated.
• you can watch youtube videos in the basement on the computer or with the virtual Roku, and it displays actual youtube videos but they are more pixelated and saturated. If you comment on the videos, it posts on actual youtube from your linked youtube/gmail account. The comment is automatically prefaced with “PEWDIEPIE BROUGHT ME HERE brought me here”
• You can also draw, paint, or sculpt in the basement, and the shape-shifting creatures will collaborate with you if you ask them to.
• Time spent in your mom’s basement negatively affects your DA to BA discrepancy
• You can LARP with other players of PDPBMH in the virtual world but this also negatively affects your DA to BA discrepancy
• You can invite other players of PDPBMH to play virtual table top RPG games such as Dungeons and Dragons in your mom’s basement. Likewise you can go to other player’s mom’s basements to play video games, make music together, or play table top RPGs. The magical creatures in the basement will play table top RPGs with you en lieu of other actual PDPBMH players if you wish.
• Other things that will negatively affect your DA to BA ratio are: looking at your smartphone while driving, crashing your vehicle if you have one, stealing things, vandalizing property within the game, not going to work from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday within the game, hurting or killing other players, being rude to your mom, not paying your recurring bills, spending your money on items that don’t help you get a better paying job, or that don’t qualify as investments.
